ECTN Eurolecturer Academy (ELA) is launching its first newsletter and wishes you plenty of inspiration in teaching and learning within higher STEM education!

ELA Activities

In 2025 we will organize several activities for lecturers and programme directors in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics)

  • February 4, March 18 and April 24, 2025: Series of Three Webinars
    The webinars will present experiences from the teaching practice about using activating teaching methods such as POGIL on February 4, 2025 (Mauro Mocerino, Curtin University, Perth, Australia), SCALE-UP on March 18, 2025 (Gerald Feldman, George Washington University, Washinton DC, USA) and the use of possibilities of artificial intelligence tools such as LearnLoop, EtAlia and IguideME to support students’ learning in the university STEM courses on April 24, 2025 (Erwin van Vliet, University of Amsterdam, The Netherlands, Luc Mahieu LearnLoop, and Olaf Vrijmoet, EtAlia).

  • May 29, 2025 (hybrid meeting): Teaching and Learning Symposium as pre-event of the ECTN Annual meeting and General Assembly in Bologna

  • June 29 – July 1, 2025: “Question-Driven Learning in STEM” Summer School, Krakow, Poland

    We are pleased to announce the upcoming first summer school in the new series of short Summer schools on Teaching and Learning in STEM. This Summer school will be organized in cooperation with the Faculty of Chemistry, Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland.   • September 15 -19, 2025: 5th STEM-CPD Summer School, Toruń, Poland

    This is already the 5th STEM-CPD Summer School, an exceptional opportunity for university lecturers in STEM disciplines (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) who aim to promote continuous professional development (CPD) in teaching and learning and want to become CPD Ambassadors. The 5th STEM-CPD Summer School will be organised in cooperation with the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, Poland. See more and the registration at: 5th STEM-CPD Summer School
