CPD User cases on Starfish
The participants of the STEM-CPD Summer Schools who become CPD Ambassadors, create each their own CPD-User case. The aim of the CPD-User case is to tackle a specific local university teaching and learning challenge and to support the lecturers at the local institution in solving that challenge. Through a bottom-up approach described in the CPD-User case, lecturers develop their teaching and learning competences, as well as teaching attitudes necessary to improve their own teaching practice and solve their challenge in teaching and learning. The CPD User cases are published on Starfish (https://starfish-education.eu).
Each CPD-User case can be described with a CPD-Scenario. The CPD-Scenario of the CPD-User case is determined by the teaching competences and teaching attitudes that the CPD-User case addresses, the learning environment of the CPD-User case, and by the time needed to complete it. A CPD-Scenario connects CPD-User cases that develop the same teaching competences. The CPD-Scenarios are created automatically by Starfish.

Starfish
Starfish is the knowledge sharing platform of the ECTN Eurolecturer Academy and it is supported by the ECTN. Starfish was first developed in 2012 from the need for effective, prompt en focused support of university teaching staff about teaching and learning using digital technology, in a situation of limited resources and a very small support team, in an University of Amsterdam education innovation project and further developed in STEM-CPD @ Uni project (https://starfish-education.eu/information/40/). Starfish is open source and open content.
Starfish design was inspired by the philosophy of the learner centred adult learning, specifically about teaching and learning in higher education (CPD), the TPACK model by Mishra & Koehler (2006) and by the book The Starfish and the Spider (The Unstoppable Power of Leaderless Organizations) by Brafman & Beckstrom (2006).
