5th STEM-CPD Summer School

We are pleased to announce the upcoming, already the 5th STEM-CPD Summer School, an exceptional opportunity for university lecturers in STEM disciplines (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) who are committed to student-centered teaching, and who aim to promote continuous professional development (CPD) in teaching and learning at their home universities. The intensive summer school program enables a selected group of maximal 25 participants to develop professional development activities for lecturers at their respective universities and to enhance their university teaching competences with an international dimension, thereby improving the quality of STEM education at their institutions.
Upon successful completion of the 5th STEM-CPD Summer School, participants will be awarded the CPD Ambassador certificate and gain the opportunity to join the international CPD Ambassadors Community.
The 5th STEM-CPD Summer School will be organized in cooperation with the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, Poland.
Toruń, the birthplace of Nicolaus Copernicus, offers a unique opportunity to explore the legacy of one of history’s greatest astronomers and his groundbreaking contributions to science. The city’s UNESCO-listed Old Town, with its well-preserved Gothic architecture and cultural landmarks, provides a fascinating setting for understanding the intersection of history, science, and culture.

Key Features
PARTICIPANTS: The Summer School is open to university lecturers in STEM disciplines or people who are involved in continuous professional development in teaching and learning (CPD) in higher STEM education. |
GOALS & OUTCOMES: Participants will develop university teaching competences in international dimension, enabling them to implement professional development activities that elevate the quality of teaching and learning at their respective universities |
PROGRAM & METHODS: The STEM-CPD Summer School spans 4.5 days and offers a range of inspiring interactive workshops, collaborative group sessions, and powerful discussions. The study program is based on active learning. |
CERTIFICATION: Participants who successfully complete all parts of the Summer School will be awarded a CPD Ambassador Certificate, recognizing their dedication and achievements. |
ORGANISATION: The STEM-CPD Summer Schools are organised by the European Chemistry Thematic Network Working Group Eurolecturer Academy in cooperation with the local organising university. The 5th STEM-CPD Summer School international scientific committee will select a maximum of 24 participants based on the strength of their applications. |
