PRELIMINARY PROGRAMME
Background
Lecturers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) need to prepare their students to be able to cope with the complex challenges of the changing world. To be able to do this, it is necessary to continuously develop teaching and learning competence in higher education and to improve teaching approaches. The 3-year European Erasmus+ project STEM-CPD@EUni developed a framework and means for sustainable cooperation between lecturers and others interested in this field, the so-called CPD Ambassadors who (wish to) organize continuous professional development (CPD) activities at their universities in order to improve the quality of higher education.
Goals of the final conference. In this one-day conference the project partners will share the outcomes of this international project and discuss with the participants about the further development of the professional development in teaching in higher education and the sustainability of the CPD Ambassadors community.
Benefits for the participants. Participants will get new inspiration by exchange of good practices, thus becoming part of the international STEM-CPD community. This event will enable networking to devise plans for future projects for cooperation in excellence in academic teaching and in the professional development for it.
Possible ways for active participation. There will be a lot of possibility for discussion and exchange of ideas. You are welcome to present a poster to share your innovative approach in teaching in higher education or your experience about organizing professional development activities. A limited number of posters will be selected for a short oral presentation.
The conference is funded by the EU Erasmus+ project.
