 OPEN CALL for applications for *20 PhD POSITIONS* at the *European Synchrotron* and *European Neutron Source* in Grenoble (F), within the *InnovaXN MSCA COFUND project.

8th EuChemS (European Chemical Society) Congress (ECC8)

The biennial European congress will be held in

Lisbon 30 August – 3 September 2020.


In addition to conventional scientific program, will include a program entirely dedicated to young chemists organized by EYCN (European Young Chemists’ Network).


EuChemS and European Chemical Societies provide scholarships to support early career researchers (bachelor, masters and PhD students) actively attending the EuChemS Chemistry Congresses.

 European Young Chemist Award (EYCA)

The most important level award exhibition dedicated to young researchers in the field of chemistry.

Prize at two levels are planned: PhD student and researcher under 35.

Organized and sponsored by EuChemS, the prize will be awarded during the ECC8 conference.


European Young Chemistry Meeting: Freiburg (Switzerland) 20 – 22 January 2021

The biennial European congress for young chemical people, will be held in Freiburg (Switzerland) from 20 to 22 January 2021, concomitantly with the next Assembly of EYCN Delegates. More information will be available in the coming months.

Science and Sensitivity: Pushing the limits of Analytical Chemistry through High-Sensitivity Diagnostics in Art and Archaeology.

 The workshop aims at exchanging information about sensitive analytical techniques used for diagnostic of artworks and objects of historical-archaeological and forensic interest. The workshop will include lectures that will illustrates both theoretical aspects and case studies, in order to provide the audience with basic and more applicative aspects of the various analytical technologies. The topics covered within the conference sessions are related to theoretical and pratical aspects of:

  • Raman Scattering spectroscopy Enhanced by Surfaces
  • Infrared spectroscopy
  • Ultra-HPLC coupled with mass spectrometry
  • Imaging
  • Synchrotrone applications and much more…

You will practice organic chemistry with focus in peptide and carbohydrate chemistry, automated solid phase synthesis and you will have the possibility to contribute in the development of a new technology for high-throughput analysis.
