There are four application possibilities to be awarded with the labels. The cost of the procedure at ECTN (methods 1, 2, 4) can be found in the Application Fee PDF file of the Documents page or can be asked at the partner agencies, if the application is sent there (method 3).

1 – Regular application at ECTN Label Committee

The application material has to be prepared as it is collected in the Documents page. Submission information and the steps of the process are detailed in the Guidelines and Application Process files of the Documents page. The assessment is done by members of the Panel of Experts forming an Assessment Team. In the case of new applications, there is always a site visit that should be carried out in teaching period. The procedure is managed by the Label Committee. The final decision on the award is done by the Administrative Council of ECTN.

2 – Renewal application at ECTN Label Committee

A limited size application material has to be prepared as it is collected in the Documents page at the renewal item. Submission details and steps of the process is detailed in the Guidelines and Application Process PDF files of the Documents page. The assessment is done by members of the Panel of Experts forming an Assessment Team. Depending on the date of the last site visit and on the changes in the program, in the staff and in the infrastructure, a site visit may be necessary. The procedure is managed by the Label Committee. The final decision on the award is done by the Administrative Council of ECTN.

3 – Application at an ECTN partner agency

ECTN has living partnership with the following accreditation agencies:

These agencies are authorized to check the fulfilment of the Eurolabel® requirements. The assessment might be done during the regular national accreditation process. The required documents and the cost should be asked at the agencies. The process is managed by the partner agency.

4 – Add-on application (introduced in 2018)

Universities or programs accredited recently by an internationally respected agency listed at http://www.eqar.eu may apply for a Eurolabel® add-on accreditation. A limited number of application documents in English supplemented with the third party accreditation documents (in original language) need to be sent directly to ECTN Label Committee or to a partner agency. An assessment team is set up. The subsequent procedure is identical to those described above.

Bundled application for different programmes is allowed. In this case, the common documents need not be sent in duplicate and there might be some reduction in the fee, see the Documents page.
